Michael is a very personable tour guide and very knowledgeable. He asks questions in order to personalize the tour for his clients as much as possible. We were thrilled with the location of the winery. The hosts at the winery were delightful, as well as the wine. The village is charming.

As newbies to wine tasting, we were very open to whatever this experience would bring. There is no question that we were extremely satisfied!. With our guide, Michael, we visited three distinct wineries during the course of the day. Michael was attentive, intelligent, informative and really fun. Included in the day was a lunch stop at a lovely little restaurant where we ate a delicious traditional meal of lechazo, bread, salad and a very light cheesecake.

We loved this very unique, day tour of white wine (most of the other tours feature red wine) paired with a very special tasting menu/lunch at a Michelin Star restaurant. Michael is an incredible guide with so much knowledge of the wineries of Spain as well as globally. Highly recommend!

Over the course of the day, you’ll visit three contrasting wineries, ranging from historic, family-run bodegas with underground caves to cutting-edge estates known for bold, modern wines.

You’ll enjoy guided tastings at each winery, featuring a variety of styles from elegant Rioja Reservas to fresh, terroir-driven single-vineyard expressions made from Tempranillo, Garnacha, Graciano, and Viura. Along the way, learn about ageing classifications, Rioja’s sub-zones (Alta, Alavesa, Oriental), and the evolution of winemaking in the region.

Midday, we pause for a local lunch, either at a winery or at a regional restaurant that pairs beautifully with the wines you’ve just tasted (self-pay).

This experience is ideal for wine lovers seeking depth, storytelling, and a sense of place, led by a certified Spanish Wine Scholar or sommelier.
