Michael is a very personable tour guide and very knowledgeable. He asks questions in order to personalize the tour for his clients as much as possible. We were thrilled with the location of the winery. The hosts at the winery were delightful, as well as the wine. The village is charming.

As newbies to wine tasting, we were very open to whatever this experience would bring. There is no question that we were extremely satisfied!. With our guide, Michael, we visited three distinct wineries during the course of the day. Michael was attentive, intelligent, informative and really fun. Included in the day was a lunch stop at a lovely little restaurant where we ate a delicious traditional meal of lechazo, bread, salad and a very light cheesecake.

We loved this very unique, day tour of white wine (most of the other tours feature red wine) paired with a very special tasting menu/lunch at a Michelin Star restaurant. Michael is an incredible guide with so much knowledge of the wineries of Spain as well as globally. Highly recommend!

Book at least two weeks in advance with a 50% deposit (payable at checkout), with the final balance due one week before your tour.


Day One: Logroño and Urban Wine Adventures


We depart Madrid for Logroño and begin with a Michelin-starred lunch to kick off the journey. That afternoon, visit an urban winery for your first taste of Rioja’s celebrated wines. The evening is free to explore Calle Laurel, famous for its pintxos (self-pay).


Day Two: Vineyards, Verticals, and Historic Caves

Start the day with a visit to one of Rioja’s most fascinating winemakers, exploring indigenous grape varieties and unique vertical vineyards - scaled in a Hummer - followed by an exclusive tasting. Lunch options are arranged nearby (self-pay). In the afternoon, choose between a cave winery visit or a masterclass tasting in Laguardia’s historic caves. Evening accommodation is in Haro, with dinner included, featuring either a guided tapas route or a sit-down meal.


Day Three: Barrio de la Estación and Iconic Wineries


Explore the historic Barrio de la Estación in Haro, visiting some of Rioja’s iconic wineries and finishing with one last exceptional winery visit. Conclude the tour with lunch in Laguardia before returning to Madrid.
